My Profile

Welcome, my name is Fred Hartshorn and I am a person centred counsellor offering short term and long term counselling for adults age 18 years upwards.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and listed on the UK Counselling Directory.

In addition to my own counselling practise, I currently work with counselling agencies specialising in a wide range of presenting issues fed via local GP practises and others that have self-referred themselves through various agencies and web sites.

I have spent a number of years working for West Leicestershire MIND.

I believe it is important to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space whereby even the most difficult issues can be explored.

I will offer you the opportunity to be listened to, valued and understood.

Counselling is time set aside specifically for you to bring whatever it is you are finding hard to cope with in your life right now.  By giving time and space to explore these areas the potential for positive change can occur and you may begin to find a newfound confidence and approach to managing your life.
