Barwell Meteorite comes home after 50 years!

A parts of a large Meteorite landed in Barwell Christmas Eve 1965 and was exhibited in the Barwell Methodist Church Today (12-12-15).

It has spent much of the last 50 years at the Natural History Museum in London and was loaned for the day through Leicester Space centre.

Barwell and neighbouring Earl Shilton were the site of a meteor event when, on Christmas Eve 1965, the villages were showered with fragments, from an object about the size of a traditional Christmas turkey. No one was hurt, although some minor damage to buildings and property occurred.

MY PPI Payout

Did I get the thousands of pounds I was lead to believe?

Will it change my life?

The check came this morning for £28.54.

And the claims company want £14 of that…

What a complete disappointment and a waste of all my time answering phone calls and filling out forms.

So no begging letters please as I am frittering away my gains on postage stamps and cups of Coffee (decaffeinated)
