Day 8

An almost leisurely breakfast and a ride in a minibus back to the Airport.

A dedicated Ryanair check in to Stansted. (Great)

Quickly through security and time for a coffee while we wait to for the Gate needed to be announced.

Gate number called and it’s a short walk to passport control and on to the gate. Ryanair now take over and expect us to stand for over 3/4 hr in a queue even though the plane has not come in yet. Gate opens and we file out to another 1/4 hr wait for the bus. Hand in the cases again and we are off.

And back to England and the rain….

Day 7

Day 7 (Tuesday) is our big trip by boat to 3 islands.

Leaving Bugibba, across St Paul’s Bay. Between the coast and St Paul’s Island and on to Camino and the Blue Lagoon.

After an hour we set off to Gozo and landed where the Ferry from Cirkewwa goes were a mini bus took us around the island.

The Azure Window and the inland sea.

Blessed Virgin Mary: Model for Faith, Not Idol for Worship
If the admiration of the Blessed Virgin Mary becomes anything more than using her as a model of faith in God the Father, Roman Catholics delve into dangerous theological territory. The tendency to elevate her to a position of divine status is alarming. Mary can be a model (like Paul or Peter) for our faith, but she is not divine nor is she able to provide for our salvation. Jesus Christ alone is God and is the only person capable of enabling the salvation of all mankind. Are these life rafts?

It was fine as we went to church. (Malta’s Full Gospel Praise Centre)

At the end of the service the heavens opened with a full thunder-storm. Carol & I opted to go to Mellieha bay again with the hope of better weather, but it was not to be…

We sat inside the beach bar that we had sat outside on day 4 and watched the lightning through the door. They brought in the pillows from the sun beds and as you see from the picture they look a bit like life rafts.

We spent 1/2 hr waiting for the bus to take us back to the Hotel where we dried off and had a great meal again. The rain kept away for the rest of our stay until we got off the plane in England.
